Question bridge nuts loosening

Sign in to disble this ad
i have this problem with my fender jazz bass, on the bridge for each string theres 2 nuts to adjust the action, and sometimes they started coming loose (so the action lowers). recently its been happening more often, nearly everytime i play i have to adjust it. its mostly the a string but the e and g also do it just not as bad. and when it happens the string goes slightly out of tune and i get alot of fret buzz. is there anything i can do to stop this happening?
thanks

New aftermarket bridge would definitely be an improvement. In the meantime, a little blue Loctite should help. Its kind of a pain as you need to raise the bridge saddle, apply the Loctite to the lower threads, then lower the saddle to its proper position.

Clear nail polish or a drop of blue loctite. IMO, no need to replace the bridge...but I find Fender bridges to work just fine.
