Bridge options for Vintage Modified P-Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like to upgrade the bridge on my Squier Vintage Modified P-Bass.

I've read on here that the Gotoh 201 bridge is a direct replacement for the Squier Vintage Modified series. I wanted to know if there are any others. I'm wondering about the Hipshot bridges, and anything else?

Thanks!

Perosnally, I llike the vintage style Fender type bent steel bridge on my VM P, BUT, if I ever thought of changing it out, I was thinking I might go with a Gotoh 203, which is pretty much the same as the stock bridge, but with a slightly heavier plate with grooves for the saddle adjustment screws. Anything else, I would be too scared of it altering the tone too much, which I really like.

Thanks for your response. I like the stock bridge on the Vintage Modified series as well.
I think that I'm going to try the Gotoh. I'll keep the stock bridge in case I ever
need it.
