Bridge Pickup not quite right...

Perhaps someone can give me some insight here...

I have a newer MIM Fender Jazz Fretless which has apparently had the bridge pickup go bad on recently.

I say apparently because I just noticed that the pickup only registers sound at about 1/2 volume on the pickup's knob. Below half and I get no sound what so ever (verified by turning the volume off on my neck pickup). Even my electric tuner doesn't pick anything up from the bass unless that pickup is around half volume.

I guess my question is what do you think the cause could be? It seems odd since I haven't done anything (to my knowledge) to damage the pickup. Perhaps it just went bad?

Just to add a bit more details, when the bridge pickup volume is maxed out (with the neck pickup off) I do get some sound from the amp, just not much (very very soft).

Turns out the bridge pickup was bad. Brought it to a shop (figured I should since it was still under factory warranty) and they verified. Now I just have to wait for Fender to get the new pickup to me and I'm back in business...

I need a second bass....
