| Bridge saddle cutting string?

The E-String on my bass is the only string that breaks consistently at the exact same spot every 1 1/2 months. I've been thinking the saddle has a sharp angle or the likes that wear down the strings very fast. Can this happen, or do I just play the E-string too much? I am getting new saddles in the mail anyway (the current ones are very bent from misuse by the previous owner) so I'm just curious.
