Question Bridge Saddle falling down problem

Sign in to disble this ad
I own a Fender Active Jazz Bass deluxe.
Whenever I have a play of it, i take a look at the G string's saddle afterwards, and every time i notice that the screw/thread furthest away from the other strings (ie. the last thread nearest to the ground) has lowered down a bit. every time i play (finger style and slap/pop), this happens, until it gets so low that i get fret buzz and i have to raise it back up again with an alan key.

Does anyone else have this problem with their bass? or does anyone know what i can do about it?

your thoughts, comments and ideas would be apreciated

It's pretty common. Get some Lock Tight (not sure if it's spelled some weird way e.g. "lock-tite", etc) but it's available everywhere...well, hardware stores and stuff. Don't get the strongest or you'll have a really rough time making adjustments down the road. It doesn't take much, either. If you have a good tech around, have them get it set for ya and you'll be all set.
