Bridge saddle slipping.

I put on a set up Elixer strings recently. A little change in gauge (D and G went from 65 and 45 to 70 and 50, respectively) but the A string is uneffected. Everytime I play my bass for extended periods on time, the A saddle will drop to one side, always the same screw. Can anyone recommend what I should do to solve this? Get a new screw?

Read the "E string slipping at bridge saddle" thread.

Hey Josh, when you say put some clear nail polish on the threads, do I take the whole screw out and dab in on the whole thread, or just the portion when it's in the bridge adjusted to my liking?

thread lock. go to any auto motive or hardware store and ask fro Loc-tite or thread lock. theyll know what you are talking about. then take the screw out put a dab on the threads spread it around and put it back in. it shouldnt fall back down again.

I wouldn't just walk in and ask for any Loc Tite or threadlock. That stuff comes in different grades. If you don't get the absolute lightest grade then that saddle screw will be locked permanently.
