Bridge and Tuner replacements

Sign in to disble this ad
Well I love the sound my EKO makes...just doesn't stay in tune or anywhere close to be intonated. I need a bit of help...finding a bridge has been a bear...a Hofner replacement is all that is "close". The tuners...I have searched all over and only All-parts has something "close".

I am not looking to restore the bass...see my other posts for that.

Here are some pics for you bass sleuths...any suggestions and links would be great.

Thanks!!!!

Anyone? I've scoured the net and can't find easy replacements. Someone take a look and enlighten me.

Hi, redstrand.

If all the tuners are as that one in the pic, they seem to be missing the plate spring that goes between the wheel and the base-plate and lifts the worm upwards. Just as in Fender machine heads. At least my Eko guitar tuners have those springs.

As for the bridge, it just looks a bit rusty. Some rust breaker, "bussines oil" amd TLC is all that it needs IMHO.

An alternative would possibly be the Ric saddle block, mated to the wooden base You have. If the dimensions are nowhere near the same.

Regards.
Sam
