Bridges with close string spacing or adjustable string spacing

Where could I find some? Like if you were designing a custom bass with close/Hofner-esque bridge string spacing but without having to use those old-timey Hofner non-adjustable floating bridges.

Oh, and does anyone make adjustable floating bridges?

Thanks!

And it's a great bridge, too! I have two of them. Also Schaller has an older model called the "roller bridge" which is adjustable by a couple of mm, as well as a newer model that I don't know the name/number of with, much wider spacing adjustments.

The Kahler Hybrid 7440 adjusts down to 13.97mm.

I have one installed on my 79P, works very well. Very solid, well made bridge.

I have that exact bridge on my mid-80s Schecter, I have the 8-string version of it on my Dolan/Warmoth bass, and I have the guitar version of it on a Yamaha Strat clone. Excellent bridge, agreed

...but, it's a bit disingenuous to say that bridge has "adjustable string spacing". You can adjust the spacing of any string relative to those adjacent to it, but you can't uniformly make all four strings equally spaced farther apart or closer together.

I adjusted the spacing on the bridge of my Epi Viola. Loosened the glued-in saddles (they are bits of fret wire), then slid them to the width I desired.
