Broken Trussrod What to do??

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, i have a signature jazz bass and i recently took it to get set up and the dude informs me the trussrod is broken, they say they can repair it for 200, the neck is really nice black block inlays, fret edge binding, high gloss.. my question is if have them repair it would you be able to tell it was repaired? or would it look like it did, should i just buy a new neck? all the necks like mine i saw were upwards of 300 dollars so it seems more reasonable to have it repaired, i could get a cheaper neck but i really dont want to do that.

thanks in advance guys

I am going to presume that "signature" is the brand name of the bass you have. If so there is a guy with an ebay store that has a maple with black block Signature bass neck for sale at $250 with a $260 BIN. Search for buildabass or slonk18. He's got a feedback rating of 99.8%.

If your repair guy is up to par you should never be able to tell that it was broke.
