Question Buzz between the nut and the fret

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,

I have a strange problem. On some strings, I get a buzz that is killed if I fret another finger between the fetting finger and the nut.

I can kill this buzz by lowering the string at the nut (I have an adjustable Warwick nut), but then I get fret buzz when I play the string unfretted.

What would you do in order to kill this kind of buzz ?

Best regards.

First check that you have the proper amount of relief in the neck. Then raise (not lower) the nut a bit to make sure the strings clear the frets on the nut side of your fretting position.
