Buzz / Vibration coming from head

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello there. I got an ESP b-154dx Bass Guitar for Christmas this year and it worked beautifully. Up until a few days ago.. Just recently, Whenever I'm picking on the E string, Sometimes A also, there is a loud annoying buzz/vibration coming from the head. I know this because If I put my left hand on the head The Noise goes away. I know it's not because of the frets. Can anybody suggest a way to fix this?

*Could* be the tuner securing nuts. See if any of them will unscrew by hand - if so nip them up, but don't go mad, 1/8 turn should be enough (if you overdo it there's a chance that you'll shred the tuner internally).

Also, check the tuner lugs/"ears" & see if they wobble a bit, my Aria SB-900 had an A-string tuner that did this. Most can be tightened up with a screwdriver.

Pete.
