Buzzing, grounding or amp?????? HELP PLEASE????

Sign in to disble this ad
hey guys. I got a matt freeman pbass a while back. Came with some strings. No problem.
I switched to Daddario 50-105. No problem. (nickel roundwounds).
I then decided to take those off (keep them) and put on a set of daddario nylon tapewounds. THere was a grounding issue (humming from the amp) and i lived with it.

Now:
I recently put those dads 50-105 nickel rounds back on and the amp is humming like f****** crazy. It only stops when i turn the amp off, the volume off, or the tone all the way off...... i have a band practice in a couple days and i need some advice quick. i have little experience soldering stuff;
What should i do???

Does it get quieter when you touch the strings?
