 buzzing peavey fury vi

i have a Peavey fury vi, and anytime its hooked up, there is a real annoying fuzzy-buzzing sound. it seems to be linked with the treble control, but i have to have the knob turned all of the way off for the sound to noticably go away. I've tried to play with the treble off, but it just isn't working that well.
any kind of input would be realy appreciated :P
