Caring For An Ebonol Fingerboard?

I was told that this belongs here so here I am. What are the best products to use for an ebonol fingerboard? I've been told to use lemon oil, which I have, but that's for wood isn't it?

And what should I use to apply and remove it with?

Just dish soap and water. Use sparingly to clean the board. Dry it off with a clean cloth. No point in using oil. You're just going to be cleaning off any gunk that builds up.
