Changing bridge Q?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a custom jazz that has a Badass II bridge on it. I want to change it to something else like maybe a Gotoh or similar or maybe even a modern vintage style bridge.

What is out there that will use the same holes? I want to avoid drilling new ones! Bass in question is shown below.

Pretty bass. Anything that uses the stock Fender 5 screw mouting will fit, however, there may be finish scars from the large Badass II bridge which will be difficult to cover up. The Smith IV bridge has the same form factor and screw mount, and is quite a better bridge than the Badass II IMO. I replaced the Badass II on my Palaedium with a Smith and it's a big upgrade IMO.
