Just a quick question, I have a Jazz bass I like a lot, but I LOVE the way block inlays look. Is there a way to get that changed without affecting the neck by putting a new board on it, or swapping out the neck? If not, I'll deal. Just wondering if changing out dot markers for block inlays was something that could be done without taking the whole neck apart. Not too hopeful, but it doesn't hurt to check.

You can have a luthier install blocks, but it won't be cheap.

If it's a fender, you're better off going to Warmoth.com and ordering a new neck with blocks. You might also find a suitable blocked neck in the classifieds or on eBay..

All Parts sells block inlay necks. That would be way easier, faster, and cheaper.

Stickers-Decals-Ive seen them on alot of things MasterBass! (with exclamation point) puts together and they look great and are probably pretty cheap in comparison to a new neck!
Look him up on here and see his builds~

I got some inlay stickers for under 10$ ... can't remember exactly where I got them from, but I've only had to replace them once in the last 4 or 5 years:

You just have to be careful ... you can see I just eyeballed it and they don't look perfect.

I figured that getting a new neck would be the best option. I guess it'll just have to be a while to see just how attached I am to the feel of the neck. I don't want to go replacing it unless I know exactly what I want with a neck. It's just eye candy, after all.
