Changing Gotoh style to Fender style

Sign in to disble this ad
As the title says is there any way to change from Gotoh Style tuners to Fender Style?

As part of my Chucker bass re-fi I wanted to add fender style tuners but the bass had the modern Gotoh styles.

Has anyone been able to do this kind of swap and what did you end up using?

Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom.

Check Hipshot and see if one of their Ultralight would be a direct replacement.

Ultralite Bass Machines > Store > Hipshot Products

A lot of times the Gotoh tuners are used on the more petite headstocks. The bigger ears on the Fender style might not have room to move.

You should be able to get either style for the current hole bore that you have, but will they actually function when you get them on is the question.
