cheaper lefty detuner?

Sign in to disble this ad
greetings,

im building a 5string, tenor. my goal is to put the hipshot extender on the C so i can drop it down to Bb. it makes for some really cool harmonic chords and such.
anyway, i need the lefty detuner, the he6y ultralite, which is over $100 direct from hipshot, the same price as the right handed. BUT, most online retailers price the righty at around $70...Anyone know of a dealer selling the lefties at a lower price?

thanks,
steve

You may be able to special order through any of the regular dealers like basspartsresource.com. I buy most of my Hipshots gently used because I use mostly the BT-1 and BT-2 models, very common for around $50. I can't say I've EVER come across a used left Hipshot Xtender though. Best of luck.

i was going to try to get my hands on a righty and try to reverse it, because hipshots ultralites reverse easily...but christmas was good to me this year...
