Chris Squire RIC pickguard paint is flaking

Sign in to disble this ad
The pickguard is actually clear, but painted white underneath.
The paint is flaking off, particularly around the screws, and one is about dime size, and working it's way toward the signature.
I was thinking of touching it up with model paint, but would greatly appreciate informed input/advice.
Also thinking of painting the entire bottom, or coating it with something to prevent further occurrence. Again, I appreciate any help with this.
Thanks so much
P.S. I also started a thread in 'pickups' if anyone can help with that one, too!

replace it with a normal one and save the signature one somewhere special.
