chrome covers for precision basses

Sign in to disble this ad
Are the chrome pickup covers for a precision and a jazz different sizes, the bridge covers are obviously bigger on the jazzes to accomodate the bridge pickup.
The reason i ask is the wife has just bought me a precision for christmas and i had a jazz pickup cover lying around and when i tried it it was nowhere near big enough (length or width).
should the precision ones be wider to cover the split coil pickup.
Hence the question.

Right
Precision: wide pickup cover, small bridge cover.
Jazz: narrow pickup cover, enormous bridge cover.
