Chrome Pickup cover screws

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there guys,

I have lost my screws for my chrome pickup cover.
The one I had were quite small, but long and they had a nice round curve on the top to match all the other screws when threaded in.

I bought my cover just from eBay (don't know the seller anymore).

Yes, quite a topic, but this comes from a young man with two no hands. (exaggerating here, but I am clumsy like hell)

Thanks in advance,
Rama

P.S. or else I'll have to wait till I can go to my luthier this saturday.
P.P.S. The cover is part of my playing style!

For what kind of bass? A Fender?

If it's a Fender, then they are just pickguard screws.

Oh really now?
That's quite interesting, I received different screws which were a bit smaller then the Fender screws, but longer.
I don't wanna crack anything now.

@ Floridabwoy, thanks, I'll check it out.

Guitar Center carries them in packs...at least I think that's where I bought a bunch. Easy to check online.

Yup, they're PG screws. Musician's Friend has them in packs of 24 for $3.99. They should be easily found at any number of websites that sell guitars/basses and parts for guitars/basses.

Yeah thank you guys, I'll just run into the hardware store and just buy 2 of each screws...
I'm thinking way too hard here.

The hardware store will not have a #3 or #4 oval head head screw finished in either nickel or chrome. Those are only to be found from suppliers to the music trades.

Sorry.

Exactly - no chrome screws at the hardware store. Stainless is the closest you MIGHT come - and it's not the same.

But BTW, I have found some chromed bolts at ACE hardware.

Ah yes, I just noticed it.
I just bought crappy screws to keep them in place until I'll go to my luthier again for a set up. :P
I already have the Fender screws, but they are too wide, or else I'll let the luthier drill a new hole...

So much wisdom here on one single forum... I'm lovin' it!
