| Yikes that seems steep to me. If I had a ton of basses and lived in a place where the weather ever changes (ie not coastal CA), maybe worth it, though.
Since you're near SF, I'm planning to do the techshop class on electronics eventually. I think they cover soldering, scoping, diagnosing, etc. More generic stuff for more than pots and caps. Might check it out as an alternative to the Guitarworks class. Don't have to be a member for classes.
