Cleaning My Fretboard

I want to clean my freeboard but have no access to specialised materials or lemon oil. Maybe just a wipe with a damp cloth or some Pledge?

I use sandal-wood oil aged 40 yrs...smells great and is smooth, but that's for my double-bass. I imagine a damp then dry cloth would work nicely in a pinch.
