Cleaning my Wenge bass neck?

hi the neck on my cort c4z is getting sticky, i think it is open pore wenge, its not laquered like my old p anyway, what would be the best way to clean it without damaging the finish?

actually scrap that, the fingerboard is wenge, i think the neck is mahogany

oh man all these sites are giving me dif info, finally found on the cort site. neck is wenge, fretboard is rosewood, i would like to know how to clean the wenge thanks

If it isn't finished (like my old Warwick), then just wipe it down to remove dust and dirt. Then, get a tin of beeswax (Warwick has some, you can buy from most Warwick dealers) and apply a light coat, then wipe down again. It works great on my oil finish Spector as well.
