Clear coat/paint chipping?

1 Attachment(s)
So after I my KSD6 came in the mail I noticed some chipping near the neck pocket. No cracks or anything, just chipping. It looks like this. Attachment 325227

So I was just wondering if there is anything easy I can do to spot fix this? Or at least stop the chipping from spreading?

Thanks,

Ben

From the looks of that pic, you're about to lose a bit more of it.

Some thin CA glue wicked into the edges may help stop it from growing, but I'd check with the manufacturer for compatibility. Not sure what finish is on there.

Is that a new instrument? If it is, I'd be asking for a replacement.

All the best,

Bob

No it's used, but it wasn't damaged before shipping. But, due to the nature of the damage, we can't get the shipping company to fork over any compensation for it.

Any other opinions? I guess this is a clear coat lacquer, but then that wouldn't chip that easily would it?

I might just take it to Dallas Guitar Repair
