Clear Satin Matte Finish

I recently bought a used bass that has a clear satin matte finish, and I'm not sure what I should use to clean it.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use a solution of mild, liquid dish soap and water with a soft cotton cloth. Rinse the cloth with clear water and dry. I know this is boring and I'm not doing my part to support the guitar accessories industry.

Some people will tell you to use a mineral oil product that will "feed the wood". Of course, the wood has been dead for years so it's like feeding a corpse.

You can spend a lot of money on expensive cleaners, mineral oil products, waxes, etc. if it makes you feel good.
