clockwise from which direction?

i looked up the fender support for truss rod adjustment. i understand concave and convex. it tells me to "Sight down the edge of the fingerboard from behind the headstock, looking toward the body of the instrument."

okay, no problem. when it says to turn clockwise, does that mean clockwise from the direction i'm looking down the fingerboard? or is that clockwise from where i will insert the allen wrench?

can't seem to find that part out and i dont' want to twist my truss rod back and forth if i guess wrong.

Yes. Think of the truss rod as a long bolt, and you facing the butt end of the bolt.

When you are looking into the hole where the allen wrench goes in that direction.
Other than that, what the other guys said.

Actually, think of the truss rod as a rod with a nut on the end. You turn the nut, not the rod.

There is only ONE clockwise. It's from the end of the truss rod you can see and access. Look at it. Clockwise is clockwise while you're looking at it.

It would be the opposite direction from the end of the truss rod that CANNOT see or access, but since you can't see or access it, that is moot.
