Question Connecticut Tech Recommendations

Sign in to disble this ad
For CT TBers -

Recommend me a bass tech in the New Haven County area for good basic setup work.

I've found some old threads with recommendations in the Fairfield County and Hartford areas, but I'd love to find someone closer to work (New Haven), home (Waterbury) or somewhere in between.

Any suggestions?

If you're willing to drive to Brookfield we've got good techs here.

I could do the drive if I can't find anything closer...closer would be better, though.

Anyone else out there?

Bob Pieper was in Bass Player magazine a few years back - he eventually opened up a shop in New Haven:

Sure, I pass by that place all the time, but didn't know about their reputation - that Bass Player article sounds rather reassuring, so I'll be giving them a try.

Thanks!

I brought my Thumb to Pieper once for a setup. He told me he'd turn it around in a week.

Two weeks passed without so much as a call, so I went and got the bass back. Hadn't been worked on, and he wasn't going to do it that week, either.

So, yeah, maybe you'll get lucky. Maybe not.

I wish I knew of someone in the area you're asking about. Sorry.
