Cracked neck?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hola folks, I noticed the other day on my cheapie Rockwell that there's this weird ass rattling noise happening when you somewhat vigorously pluck away at the strings. I did some tapping on the neck and it feels cracked somehow. The rattle sounds a bit metallic, and it's not the tuning pegs or mechanisms, so... would I be looking at a cracked neck, or a cracked truss rod, or something along those lines?

How about the tuning keys? Are the strings too small for the nut?
