Custom metal control plates

Where can I find/order a custom control metal plate?

I'd send a drawing of the plate and where the holes for knobs and bolts go.

Many thanks in advance.

I've been wondering the same thing. Outside of a special metal worker, who will probably charge $100+ without plating, I don't see many options.

A need! Might it be filled?

Also, it's pretty easy to obtain sheet aluminum and drill it with a power drill. Just to get you by.

The artist at Sharp-Concepts.com made me a super cool aluminum patinated pickguard (looks like camouflage) for $65.00 and that INCLUDED custom templating because it was for a short scale bass.

I am having him make two control plates for my jazz bass- one powder coated matte black and one "traditional" shiny one. The cost for this (including shipping) is about $60.

Like with many custom, artist-related things, it takes time, about 4-6 weeks to get the order. And you should send in the original if you want it done the precise way.
