Customizing Neck HELP?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

So I have a 90 Fender JP-90 that I bought a year ago but the neck was customized fretless. I don't like fretless and thought I might venture into putting a tele neck on it instead of buying a jp90 fretted neck.

This opens the question....

Bass necks vary in size and some might be too big or too small to fit in the crevasse. What do I need to know about necks as far as measurements and if I bought a neck that doesn't fit cause it's too big, how do I go about making it fit?

Thanks in advance.

If you like the feel of the neck, a refret will be about the same as a new neck.
