D tuner

First of all let me apologise if this thread has already been opened but I just couldn't find anything similar.

I'd appreciate if you guys help me out giving me some light regarding D-tuners. Are they easy to install? Do they keep tune?

Thanks in advance.

Here's Hipshot's own video on how to install their Bass Xtender. The install/tuning is done in about 5 minutes, so I guess if you have the model that matches exactly the tuner you're replacing it's fairly easy.

I'm not sure how the Sperzel D-Thing is to install/maintain. I don't think I've ever seen one on a bass.

I'll vouch for Hipshot's reliability and consistent intonation - used them for years.

Probably takes 10 minutes to install including taking the existing tuning machine off your bass.

They stay in tune very well. I've had to adjust the thumb screw for the D a couple of times, but that takes a very small amount of time to do.

Yep, have the Hipshot on my Precision. Use it all the time. Works as advertised. High quality device.

Forgive My ignorance. Can these be tuned to any other note? Say B for example.
