Danelectro Tapered End Peg popping out

Hoping for some repair advice. I have a Danelectro DC which has old school white plastic tapered end pegs in lieu of metal strap buttons. They don't stay in place from friction, and I had a pro glue them in but they still pop out.

I assuming that the faulty glue used was wood glue.

What do you think is the best way to fasten these? Super glue?

Thanks!

I jammed mine in with a piece of paper to give it a friction fit. It worked but I eventually replaced it with strap locks. I couldn't use the same hole so I moved the location over a bit. It still has the holes in the body though but you really don't see them because of the location.

Gah! I have the same problem with my DC Danelectro!

The only reason I bought it was 'cause I'm a NOFX fanboy, so it doesn't get a lot of use.

It's still annoying when that thing pops out. I'm really curious to see if you find a better solution. I was thinking maybe a thick super glue, since I believe both the peg and body are plastic?

Stewie, you're judgmentally quoting bible verses and you don't even know how to read!

I plugged mine with dowel and installed a set of Dunlop SLS19 buttons. Not like you've gotta worry about collector's value on these basses especially with a mod that only makes the instrument better.
