Question Dead batteries or bad pot?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I've got a Tune twb-43, I've had it for about 4 months and it just developed a new problem. The bass pot about until it's boosted to about 3/4 of the way makes a pulsing noise once you boost it to full it clicks and the pulsing stops. Now I've had it for a while and never changed the batteries so I'm not sure if the pot is bad or if it's just time for some new batteries, I do leave it plugged in alot so the batteries probably need to be changed anyway.

Easy way to check: change the battery.

and an easy way to know when your batteries are good or not is to use a multimeter to check the voltage. Every bass player should have one. That way you'll never have to ask that question, and people will be like "wow that guys a nerd, but his bass always seems to sound good... maybe he's onto something."

+1, they should also know how to use it.
