What exactly are dead spots??

You're in the wrong forum btw, this belongs in Basses.

...and there's always the search function

well you're right in that it's the wrong forum, but it's off to setup for you.

Well, the last thread was in basses, and you can't change deadspots with a setup...but you're the mod

I was playing around with pup height the other night and set my pups as close to the strings as I could get them. I really couldn't see a huge difference until I noticed a couple of dead spots that weren't there before. I lowered the pups and the dead spots went away.

I can't explain why. but it happened and I was able to repeat the experiment with the same results.

This probably wont work for all "dead spot" problems but may be worth a try.
