If it's got a good midrangey tone you like, going fretless might really suit that bass. Sounds like you'd have a lot of fun with it.

Greetings my Swedish friend!
First you need to ask yourself why!
I love mine as a fretless sounds very nice! But it became discontinued in the middle of the process of defretting it. I wouldn't have defretted it if i knew that it was gonna be discontinued.

Don't do it. Leave it stock. Defret something else--maybe a Sadowski or Fodera.

Hi compatriot

maby we've met at Pratabas ?

Thanks for your contribution on this thread.

Looks really nice (your bass on the pic.)

What worries me a bit is that the maple/mahogany neck isn't the most common fretles neck wood.

Would be verry nice to test your bass.

Im living on the west coast

Hmm, I too have thought about it, but what put me off was the fact that it has a fixed neck.
If I didn't like it, or messed it up, that's it.
Can't just bolt on a replacement.

The fretboard looks perfect on the picture but in real life its quite a amateur job and i have sanded of some of the werehouse floor lacquer becouse of an bumpy surface so it does not shine as much :P And the lines are "stress" made, but i think they look quite cool as they look "antique".

Yes i'm a new member on pratabas
Its currently not possible to play it because of one of the tuners. (broken..)
Got to buy me new Gotoh GB7 tuners first and a full set of strings (i have standard squier G string and some other kind on the rest )
