different tunings

i am playing in a couple of bands at the moment. i just got my rickenbacker 4003. one band plays half a step down, my bass has been setup for this tuning, the other tuning i am switching to is a whole step down and dropped D, will it do my bass any damage changing tunings ?

Set your bass to DGCF and use a capo on 1st fret for the first band.

I am not familiar with that bass specifically however I would feel completely confident saying that you have nothing to worry about regarding different tunings hurting your bass. If you have the money and are really super concerned take it and have it setup, then return after a few months (or weeks depending on how cautious you are) and ask the person to check the neck for you to see if it is warping in any way.
