Direct Replacement Bridge for a Pilot

Sign in to disble this ad
Picked up a DeArmond Pilot which seems like a pretty nice bass. Don't know where its been but I'm pretty sure its not spent long in arid Colorado as the bridge is super rusty. I know I can probably get it back to working by bathing it in WD40 or some such, but I'm wondering if pretty much any 5 screw bridge would be a direct replacement... for instance a Badazz II? Any others that you'd recommend I look at?

A picture would help. If it looks like a standard 5 screw Fender-style bridge, chances are anything that's a direct Fender replacement will work. Some of the DeArmond Pilot basses have Schaller bridges similar to their roller bridges.

Yeah, I'd like to see a picture. I have a Dearmond too, so I would kind of like to compare. It's a neck-through, four string. It's kind of sad that I can't remember what kind of bridge is on it, since I had it in my hand yesterday!

What a rusty mess!! Yes, it appears that any standard Fender Drop-in replacement should work. I recommend the Gotoh 201 bridge. http://www.warmoth.com/Gotoh-201-4-String-C718.aspx

Thanks Phil. That does look a little nicer than what's on it now even if it didn't have the rust. I guess $40 isn't too bad...
