Dome knob with marker?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know where I can get a metal dome knob with some sort of marker on the top? I like the look of dome knobs but I hate how you can't tell what position the pot is in.

The closest I've found is this:

http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Knobs/Do...-top_Knob.html

but I'm not crazy about the way it looks and I need something that'll work with solid shafts.

I don't care if it's a line or a dot or whatever, as long as you can tell what position it's in. Thanks.

If it's for solid shafts, you can use the set screw as an indicator. That's what I do.

Yeah, that's what I do as well, but if the set screw is facing away from me, I have no idea if it's turned all the way clockwise or counterclockwise.

I also tried filing away the finish, but that didn't work too well.

Hrm. Are they available online? The only knobs I see on their website are pretty big (1" and up).

Moro,
check these out:

(last knobs on bottom of page)
That what you're looking for?

Edit - I just realized that these are split shaft.. I dont think they'll work.
My Warwick had dome knobs with markers on a straight shaft, I wonder if they sell them separately.

Ooo, those look good. It says they're for split shafts, but they do have set screws so I'm thinking they might work. They're kind of pricey though. I may get one just to see if it'll work.

Thanks!
