Anyone out there have experience with using a Hipshot D-tuner but almost always leave it tuned to D ?

Is there anything negative about using it this way (only occasionally going back to E) ?

Shouldn't be ANY prob at all. I tune My "drop D" hipshot thingy to Eb, I think U can adjust it to wherever it's range'll let ya, But should be no probs keeping it in "D",

Your E string MAY get a bit "used" to being in that pos & be a li'l outta tune when put into E again- that's all the issues I can foresee.

I go back and forth with mine. I leave it at both tuned up or tuned down. So far I've had no issues with it becoming detuned more than I can notice. The only thing that is difficult is getting it to tune down correctly and then tune back up correctly after I tune a string.
