When playing in drop tunings, one will generally have some level of string buzz. I get it because I play in D standard.

What you should do is swap out your "E" string, for a heavier string (Ie. instead of a .105, use a .115. That should give you enough tension, and still have some of the looseness associated with drop tuning).

I see a five string set in your future

C is only a half step above B. Depending on the scale of your bass it sounds like a .125 or .130 B string from a five string set would be right up your alley.

Could be the nut, or you may need to raise the bridge saddle to accomodate that 125. If your bass is 34" or less a 130 or more could be the answer. If you're going to go with drop C all the time it would be ideal if not necessary to ream out the nut slot some more. People do BEAD on four strings but you need to set the thing up accordingly.
