alright, exactly as the title says, i dropped the action on my bass a little bit and now i have a slight fret buzz on the larger strings, how could i remedy this? maybe put something under the nut to lift it up a bit?

When this happens, your neck naturally straightened up a very small bit. Just give the truss rod a quarter turn counterclockwise and tune the bass up. This should bring the neck relief back to a point where you didn't get any fret buzz. After a day, if it is still buzzing, give the truss rod another quarter turn. Personally, I never give more than a quarter turn a day thus giving the neck a chance to naturally balance with the string adjustments and my playing style. Giving more than a quarter turn may make you overshoot and take longer to get the proper relief to match you string height. Quote:
