| On some basses, the neck consists of a main construction most of the length of the neck, and then near the top, you'll see that a piece that comprises the headstock along with the top couple inches of the neck is glued up. I "think" the purpose of that construction is to give the headstock a bit more strength because the tension is pulled laterally instead of like a bow. I'm not 100% sure about that part though.
So, if you look carefully at the back and/or side of the neck, a couple frets south of the nut, you may see the line of the joint. If the woods match well, and the joint is done well, it may be tough to see. Or.....you may not have a scarf joint at all.
I guess if you have already given it a look over, and it didn't stand out, then it is OK in any case.
