First of all, if it ain't broken, don't fix it!

I you just want to correct the neck bow, do 1/4-turns, like with a single truss rod. Just make sure you apply the same change to each truss rod.

Remember: turnin right tightens the rod and straightens the neck, turning left loosens the rod and lets the string tension bow the neck.

Unless it's an English rod

It's not broken don't worry.

It's just that i want to compensate the string buzz coz i think that my neck is too straight. It buzzes only at the first three frets then everything is ok.

BTW, how does someone adjust the nut?im having a bit of a hard time pressing the first fret coz the nut is too high I think. Thanks for any info!!!

It sounds more likely then that your problem is with the nut and not with the truss rods.

Unless you have an adjustable nut - very few basses do - the only way is to file the nut slots down with a needle file. You have to be careful not to snag the nut though or it could split/crack or parts could come off!!

It's a quick and easy job for any sort of guitar/bass tech, luthier etc.

Cool

Thanks bruce!!!

I tried to move the nut first by taking off all the strings and i thought that nuts are movable types but tragically it was glued tight! . oyur solution is the best next one.I just hope that i can find a decent luthier here. Thanks for the info!!!
