Dunlop Straplock broke lol

Has anyone here ever had one of there Straplock break? Pretty much I had a gig today play a few sets thank God I was sitting down at the last song. My strap on the butt end came loose i'm like ***?? Basicly the round top ring itself broke in the middle i mean my lakland only weighs 9 pounds lol. And the gig was not over yet thank God i had my back up with me. Anyone here ever had a bad expierience with dunlop?

I've been using the same set of Dunlop straplocks for over ten years, no problems. I have seen them fail before on other people's gear, but not the way you described.

I've used them for 20 years with no problems at all, on more than 25 basses and hundreds of gigs, not to mention countless rehearsals.

Wow u guys have had way better luck than me. il post pics this week to show where they broke. il still buy a new set this week dispite what happen I still prefer dunlop i don't like the other brands.
