how much can i lower the e-string without trowing everything else way out , just want to come down a 1/16

You can lower the E string as low as you want so long as it doesn't touch the frets. That's the WHOLE trick!

Just do it via the E-string Bridge saddle... not via truss rod adjustment.

Thanks- dropped it down no problem- i was worried about the intonation . but it seem to be ok

The lower the action - the greater the buzz - it's a personal trade off
