I have a Dillion bass with a single-coil pickup. The setup on this bass is very basic, with the only knobs being tone and volume. When I have the tone all the way up on the treble there's alot of feedback when I go near my computer, and furthermore no matter where I'm standing when my hands aren't touching the strings there's an irritating electrical crackling/fuzz coming out of the amp that doesn't stop until I put my hands back on the strings.
I've heard people talking about shielding the pickups or grounding issues or what have you, but I don't know exactly how to tackle this problem since I don't often deal with electronics. |
