electronic problem?

Sign in to disble this ad
ok so, i just purchased a used schecter bass "for backup purposes" and i have a weird problem... i can plug it into my head, and it will sound fine for a few seconds and then it just goes to crap... it wont have the full volume by far, and it sounds really distorted especially on the E string... i have no idea what is causing this?...could it be the pickups?..i know its not the head.. or is there something else that i dont know about?

I know this sounds obvious.....but if its an active Schecter, did you change the battery?
