Elrick Truss Rod Adjustment

Sign in to disble this ad
I just purchased an Elrick New Jazz Standard which, for whatever reason, came without instructions or correct truss rod wrench. I've e-mailed Elrick but have yet to receive a response so, in the meantime, I'll pick TB's collective brain.

I'm not quite sure which wrench is appropriate for the job. The business end of the rod is located at the body junction and is markedly recessed. The hex head also appears to be considerably smaller (maybe 3/16"?) than other instruments I've seen. I'm suspicious that this will require an autoharp wrench like my old Pedulla Rapture.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Riis

Hehe. I just happen to be sitting here with my also newly purchased Elrick NJS

Just checked, and a 3/16th hex fits nice and snug

I think Rob (Elrick) is on vacation. He is very good about getting back to his customers. I'm sure you'll hear from as soon as he returns. Congrats on your Elrick, I LOVE mine!!!!!
