epi t-bird bridge replacement

Sign in to disble this ad
one of my friends has an epi t bird that he would like to replace the bridge on. the back 2 inserts that held the 3 point bridge lifted from the body a bit.

a lot of people, myself included, arent a fan of those bridges. whats a good replacement? something with minimal mod, preferably. perhaps a badass or something? maybe on the cheap?

suggestions?

thanks

I know hipshot makes a direct replacement. I'm not sure about badass, but I know the first badasses were for gibsons

he's really looking for a normal flush mount bridge. he pointed to a fender and went "like that" when telling me about this problem. badass came to mind as its the typical go-to replacement that i know is flush mount.

both of those bridges from hipshot look like the perfect answer. flush mount and no mod. i knew there had to be something like this out there. it mentions vintage gibsons.. but no mention of epi t-birds. i know they are similar, if not the same, but id want to make 100% sure they fit perfectly before advising him to drop 120 on his backup bass.

I got my Hipshot for $85 shipped via eBay.

You can drop Hipshot an e-mail to be doubly sure, but I'm pretty sure the Hipshot will fit the Epi. Great thing too, if you like to rest your pick hand on the bridge is how much more comfortable the Hipshot is! Very easy install too!
